How to use Google's keyword planner without creating campaign

Google's  Keyword Planner  has been the most widely used tool for keyword research due to the fact that data is pulled straight from google's database giving you more accurate results and it is absolutely free!No upsells. Now here's the catch,by default, before you can use the tool, you will have to sign-up with Adwords, fillout campaign details and provide billing information. This is ideal if you are looking to run ads campaign but what if you just want to do keyword research for your content strategy and blog posts in order to rank high on search engines for targeted keywords, it could really be annoying to go through all that just to use the tool.
It was my frustration that drove me to find a way around it and I have taken my time to explain it in this post.

Enter Adwords Manager. It seems like one  just can't bypass adwords. You can't but you will not need to run any campaign or provide credit card information to use the keyword planner tool and I will show you shortly. Adwords Manager was created to make it easy to manage accounts from one place like facebook manager. It was formely called My Client Centre (MCC).

  1. Ahrefs
While we’re on the topic of SEO, I wanted to mention Ahrefs. Ahrefs is a tool that allows you to do keyword research to ensure you’re targeting the best keywords with the highest traffic and lowest difficulty to rank for.
While this tool isn’t free or cheap, they do offer a free two-week trial. Alternatively, you can use their competitors like Moz or SEMrush (who also have free trials, hint hint). Whichever one you choose, if you’re serious about ranking on Google, I highly recommend a keyword research tool. Without them, you only have access to Google Keyword Planner, which doesn’t really help you find the right keywords.
